Behind the expensive suits and fancy cars, one would find it hard to believe that Assistant District Attorney Dan Fielding was once a Louisiana Bayou farm boy named Reinhold Fielding Elmore, and earned his law degree from the "Bayou Institute of Law & Agriculture." Dan has an impeccable conviction record, one of the best of all the DA's in New York, and he has a sex life to match. He has slept with nearly every woman in the courthouse, and he's often seen trying to pick up a woman, usually resulting in a hard slap across the face. The fun doesn't stop there, nearly every courtroom situation causes Dan to say some crude remark. These remarks less than impress the one woman Dan would love to get his hands on: Christine Sullivan.
Prior to assuming his role as the sex-starved lawyer, John Larroquette was a regular on the TV series "Black Sheep Squadron." After winning four Emmys for his role on "Night Court," John has become quite an accomplished actor. He appeared in the 1985 movie "Summer Rental" alongside former "Night Court" comrade Karen Austin and legendary comic John Candy. He has since starred in several movies, including "Madhouse" with Kirstie Alley, and "Richie Rich." On TV, he starred in the self-titled NBC series "The John Larroquette Show" for four years. He then returned to TV in 1999 for the short-lived "Payne" on CBS. He also appeared in the NBC miniseries "The 10th Kingdom," as well as appearing occasionally on "The Practice" and "The West Wing." Most recently, John reunited with "Night Court" costar Markie Post in the ABC Family Channel movie "Til Dad do Us Part," and currently hosts a collectibles and antiques show on A&E called "The Incurable Collector."
